About

Who should attend?

Scientists, engineers, the policy community, students … anyone interested in exploring how environmental concerns interact with economic activities. The mission of the ISIE is to promote the use of industrial ecology in research, education, policy, community development, and industrial practices to allow for policy development and business practices to be based on the best available science. Hosting this gathering in Australia provides a great opportunity to focus on industrial ecology problems and solutions in Asia and the Pacific, the most economically dynamic world region and largest user of natural resources, and we especially encourage participation from the region.

Why should you attend?

You’ll get to network with leading academics and practitioners from around the world involved in Industrial Ecology research and practice, share your views on and hear about cutting-edge ideas, models, solutions, and policies, and visit a vibrant and charming city. For students and early career researchers there will be additional workshops, prizes and activities that will complement the main conference program.
