About AMR 2026

In November 2021, CSIRO hosted a landmark virtual One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Summit, bringing together Australian experts from across government and industry to explore collaborative solutions to one of the world’s most pressing health challenges.

Drawing on the insights from that event, and the momentum from United Nations 2024 high-level meeting on AMR, we’re excited to announce the next chapter: a three-day, in-person global AMR summit in Sydney, February 2026.

This upcoming Summit is being delivered in partnership with the Fleming Initiative, a global AMR programme led by Imperial College London.

Together, we’re shifting the conversation from theory to practice focusing on what’s worked, what hasn’t, and why.

The programme will spotlight evidence-informed One Health approaches, practical solutions to implementation barriers, and strategies for public engagement, education, and advocacy.

With a dynamic mix of keynotes, panels, workshops, and hypotheticals, the event will also feature the inaugural Female Trailblazers in AMR awards, celebrating exceptional contributions from women across disciplines and sectors.

We’re inviting a diverse community of stakeholders—from government, NGOs, investors, entrepreneurs, and researchers—to join us in shaping the future of AMR action.
