Damilola Adesuyi
- One Health and Development Initiative
- Damilola Adesuyi is an early-career public health microbiologist leveraging behavioural science and the One Health approach to address antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and zoonoses. He works with the One Health and Development Initiative (OHDI) as a Program Officer, where he leads risk communication and supports research on AMR and zoonotic diseases. One of the projects he leads, African Youths for AMR Communication project, recently received the Antibiotic Guardian Award from the UK Health Security Agency. Damilola is a Tsuha Global Fellow (University of Western Australia & Oregon Health & Science University), a 2024 RSTMH Early Career Grant recipient, Trinity Challenge Youth Seed Funding awardee, and an ASM Future Leaders Fellowship alumnus. He has co-authored five scientific and technical publications and contributed to Nigeria’s national AMR policy. He also promotes youth engagement in AMR and microbial science through leadership with the Stop Superbugs Squad, Africa Public Health Student Network, and as a Society Champion for the Microbiology Society (UK).

Yewande Alimi

- Dr Yewande Alimi holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. She serves as the One Health Unit Lead at Africa CDC and co-leads the Africa Union Task Force on AMR. Yewande has been pivotal in developing and executing comprehensive strategies that seamlessly integrate human, animal, and environmental health concerns. Under her visionary leadership, Africa CDC has established crucial programs addressing AMR, zoonotic diseases, food safety, and climate change, effectively addressing critical One Health issues across the African continent. Yewande’s impact extends globally as she serves on multiple advisory boards and committees, advocating for global health equity and gender equality. With over a decade of expertise, she has significantly strengthened the technical capacity of African Union Member States in preventing and controlling infectious diseases using a One Health approach.

Jacqueline Álvarez
- United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
- Jacqueline began her career at Uruguay’s Ministry of Environment, focusing on chemicals and waste. She brings over 25 years of political, managerial, and technical experience across national, regional, and international levels. Nationally, she worked for several years with the Government of Uruguay. Regionally, she served as Director of the Basel and Stockholm Coordinating Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean, supporting capacity building and technology transfer. She has also led regional negotiations on multiple occasions. Her career includes fieldwork and strategic advisory roles to governments on diverse environmental issues, particularly multilateral environmental agreements and chemical policy implementation. At UNEP, she has held various roles, including Regional Sub-Programme Coordinator for Chemicals and Waste, Acting Chief of the Chemicals and Health Branch, and worked within the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions Secretariat. From 2021 to 2022, she served as UNEP’s Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean. Jacqueline is a chemist by training, specialised in pharmacy.

Andrew Bowskill
- AAMRNet | MTPConnect
- Andrew joined Australia’s leading non-profit life-sciences innovation accelerator, MTPConnect, in 2019 and leads stakeholder engagement in the state of Queensland. He also led the establishment of, and co-chairs the Australian Antimicrobial Resistance Network (AAMRNet), a public-private, multi-stakeholder expert group promoting Australia’s role in the global fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Previously he was Manager of Industry and Regulatory Policy at Medicines Australia, the peak body for the innovative pharmaceutical manufacturers in Australia. Andrew has a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Otago, and extensive experience as a pharmacist in Australia and New Zealand.

Kirsty Buising
- WHO Collaborating Centre for AMR, Doherty Institute, University of Melbourne
- Professor Kirsty Buising is an infectious diseases physician and Medical Director of Medical Services at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Prof Buising contributes to national and international antimicrobial resistance (AMR) initiatives, and is co-lead of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance. Kirsty’s leadership and expertise in AMR and antimicrobial stewardship is crucial to the successful delivery of the COMBAT-AMR program which builds the capacity of healthcare professionals across the Asia-Pacific to tackle AMR.

Javier Y Marcos
- World Organization for Animal Health
- Javier Y. Marcos joined the World Organization for Animal Health as Head of the AMR & Veterinary Products Department, after more than 20 years of experience in the development and commercialization of diagnostics tests in human and animal health. He leads an international team accountable for the development of international standards around the quality of vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics used in animals. His department also leads the coordination of actions supporting a responsible use of antimicrobials in animal health, and across all sectors, in close collaboration with other Quadripartite partners (FAO, UNEP & WHO).

Geoff Masters
- World-Class Learning Systems
- Geoff Masters AO is an international adviser on curriculum and assessment redesign. He was previously long-term head of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). He has conducted a number of reviews for governments, including a review of the NSW school curriculum. He led an international study of five high-performing jurisdictions for the US National Center on Education and the Economy (published as Building a World-Class Learning System) and is author of the National School Improvement Tool and Principal Performance Improvement Tool. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2014.

Jomana Musmar

- Dr Jomana F. Musmar is a global health policy expert and the Founder and Senior Consultant of Advisors of Global Health, LLC. With decades of experience across leading U.S. agencies—including HHS, DoD, and USDA—she excels in government affairs, policy development, and coalition building. Jomana established and served as the Executive Director of the Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (PACCARB), where she coordinated with over 600 experts to drive One Health and antimicrobial resistance initiatives. At HHS, she also served as Deputy Director for Strategic Initiatives, leading national strategies on vaccines, HIV/AIDS, and infectious diseases, and managing interagency operations in emergencies such as COVID-19. She is also a Leadership Council Member at NIAMRRE and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol. Jomana’s expertise, recognised internationally, has shaped policy and operations at organizations, government agencies, and academic institutions worldwide.

Thomas Mylne

- Dr Thomas Mylne BPharm MD MPH is an ophthalmology registrar in Victoria. A proud Gangalu man from Central Queensland, he grew up on Gooreng Gooreng country in Gladstone. His career as a health professional started as a pharmacist in the Royal Australian Air Force prior to returning to study at the University of Melbourne. He completed his junior doctor years at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital before commencing his specialist training. Tom has sat on the board of directors for the Australian Indigenous Doctors’ Association and is a current board member for the First Nations Eye Health Alliance. He is a member of the Advisory Group for the NACCHO Antimicrobial stewardship academy and keeps his passion for First Nations Health central to his career. He also strongly supports harm minimisation policy and is a passionate diversity and LGBTIQA+ community member and advocate.

Maria Ortino

- Maria Ortino has almost 20 years of Responsible Investment experience. She joined Legal & General in January 2019 where she is the Co-Lead, Global Investment Stewardship. She previously led the team’s efforts on health. Maria was a member of the Access to Medicine Foundation’s Expert Committee for the 2021 Antimicrobial Resistance Benchmark and is a member of WEF’s Global Future Council on AMR. She is one of four Co-chairs of Access To Nutrition initiative’s (ATNi) Investors in Nutrition and Health, and sits on the advisory group of the Investor Coalition on Food Policy. She regularly speaks on AMR from an institutional investor point of view at international conferences and on panels. Maria has an LLB from Queen Mary, University of London and a Master’s Degree from the Graduate Institute of International Studies, University of Geneva.

Senjuti Saha
- The Child Health Research Foundation
- Dr Senjuti Saha is the Deputy Executive Director of the Child Health Research Foundation (CHRF), Bangladesh, directing research on pediatric infectious diseases. After earning a PhD in Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto and post doctoral fellowships at SickKids and Stanford, she joined CHRF in 2016 to establish a state of the art genomics centre. Her team conducts genomic surveillance, maps antimicrobial resistance, and tracks endemic and emerging viruses. Senjuti advises several WHO committees, publishes widely, serves on editorial boards, and has received several international honours. She advances equitable science through the ‘Building Scientists for Bangladesh’ program.

Stephanie Williams
- Interim Centre for Disease Control, Department of Health, Disability and Ageing
- As Assistant Secretary of the Disease Control Strategy Branch, Dr Williams is responsible for the One Health Unit, AMR policy and surveillance, and Strategy and Governance for the interim CDC. She is a public health physician and medical epidemiologist, whose prior roles include Australia’s Ambassador for Regional Health Security (2020-2022) and Principal Health Specialist at DFAT (2017-2023).
