Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness
CSIRO hosts the only high-containment facility in the southern hemisphere. The PC4 environment of the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) supports a zoonosis suite and bioimaging facility and insectary with advanced technology and infrastructure. ACDP works closely with veterinary and human health agencies globally providing research and advice on exotic, emerging and re-emerging diseases related to biosecurity and counter-bioterrorism. The ACDP was involved in key research driving rapid global response to COVID-19.
