Industry-driven research collaborations to solve Australia’s plastic waste problem

Abstract

This presentation will provide an overview of the planned activities of the Solving Plastic Waste Cooperative Research Centre, which is in receipt of grant funding of $40 million from the CRC Program and $100 million in resource commitments from its 40 partners over 10 years. It will conduct industry-driven collaborative research to accelerate Australia’s progress towards its targets of eliminating plastic pollution, establishing a circular and climate neutral economy for plastics, and growing a competitive, sustainable advanced manufacturing sector.
