Thomas Loh, RMIT University Australia

Dr Loh has a diverse engineering background including sustainability, fire behaviour, and design in advanced materials for construction in residential and defence applications. Dr Loh is proud to have contributed to the successful commercialisation of research through his involvement in multiple CRC-P’s. He contributed to the commercialisation of the recycled aggregate Polyrok® and as the lead researcher in design and assessment in a CRC-P, he assisted in the commercialisation of ROBOVOID® which has seen local success in Australia and internationally. Dr Loh also contributed to the successful development of a pilot facility to recycle aluminium composite panel cladding waste. He is now working to establish Australia’s first pilot plant to recycle waste wind turbine blades, providing a complete sustainable disposal strategy for the wind renewable energy sector.
