Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti (Bappenas)
Dr Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti currently serves as Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of National Development Planning of the Republic of Indonesia. With a distinguished career spanning 25+ years in the public sector, she has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing economic growth, sustainable development, financial inclusion, and investment.
Prior to assuming this pivotal position, Dr Amalia held several key leadership roles, including the Team Leader of Preparation of Indonesia’s Long Term Development Plan 2025 – 2045, and was previously appointed as head of Indonesia’s National Secretariat of SDGs. In these roles, they were instrumental in shaping and implementing economic policies that have had a significant positive impact on economic policy and sustainable development in Indonesia.
She obtained her PhD degree in economics from the University of Melbourne Australia in 2005 with her thesis of Inflation Targeting Framework in Emerging Economies.
