Presenting a poster is a great opportunity to discuss research in progress to a wide stakeholder audience.

The Ending Plastic Waste Symposium will be an in-person event and will require at least one author to register, attend and present the poster in person during a dedicated time slot.

Poster presentation

The Ending Plastic Waste Symposium poster session will provide an opportunity to research ideas in the following areas:

  • the life cycle of plastics
  • plastics in the environment
  • product packaging and design
  • recycling and resource recovery
  • bioderived and compostable plastics
  • circular economy and system perspectives
  • international approaches

A poster is a single-page document, typically combining text and images, that features a succinct description of work that has been done. Posters should not re-present previously published work. 

Applicants will need to submit:

  • Title: a title for the poster
  • Proposer: name, affiliation, and email address. Correspondence related to the conference will be sent by email.
  • Abstract: a description of the poster and what it will cover. Please note that this information will be released on the symposium website if the the poster is selected for the event
  • Content: an indication of why the topic is significant and why conference attendees will find it interesting
