Jie Li, RMIT University Australia

Professor Jie Li leads a research team at RMIT University which has conducted a series of groundbreaking studies on the feasibility of utilising healthcare plastics, including face masks, gloves, and isolation gowns, for various civil and construction applications, such as asphalt, road base, subbase and subgrade, and concrete. Professor Jie Li has made highly influential contributions to the development of low-carbon and eco-friendly concrete and road pavement using various waste materials. His research has been disseminated through top-ranked international journals and covered by over 3000 mainstream media outlets worldwide, including Reuters, CNN, Washington Post and New York Times.
