Simon Lockrey, RMIT University Australia

Associate Professor Simon Lockrey from RMIT School of Design is the Reduce Program Leader in the Fight Food Waste CRC. The domains in which Associate Professor Lockrey has managed research include life cycle assessment, design innovation, green marketing, resource efficiency, food waste reduction and the circular economy. As a result, he has generated millions of dollars of ‘industry facing’ research, creating global impact through policy change, commercial outcomes, media coverage, and garnering thousands of citations. Associate Professor Lockrey’s research involves the deployment of sustainability strategy, co-design, and tool development for companies including Chep, Visy, Nestlé, Lendlease, Costa, Grocon and Breville, as well as governments and not for profits. He currently sits on the board of the International Sustainable Development Research Society.
