{"id":347,"date":"2025-04-03T14:19:42","date_gmt":"2025-04-03T03:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.csiro.au\/extrusion-symposium\/?page_id=347"},"modified":"2025-04-07T20:35:53","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T10:35:53","slug":"november-2024","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.csiro.au\/extrusion-symposium\/community-of-practice\/november-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"November 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Extrusion CoP #12 \u2013 Micro Compounder Applications in Plant Protein Transformation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this session, we were joined by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/belal-muhialdin-46a408108\/\">Dr Belal Hasan<\/a><\/strong> from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, who presented on:<br><strong>\u201cApplications of Micro Compounder as Analytical Tool to Study Plant Protein Transformation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr Hasan shared how micro compounders can be used as precise, small-scale analytical tools to investigate plant protein behaviour under extrusion-like conditions. He discussed his research into the physicochemical transformations of proteins, particularly water management, disulfide bonding, and pH effects during processing.
