Melbourne is a city that must be experienced, not simply viewed and we would like to offer ICWIP delegates to select a guided walking tour to briefly immerse themselves in our culture. The tours are conducted by experienced guides at an easy pace, and will provide a memorable experience for delegates.
Melbourne has become famous the world over, for its café culture scene. Our city streets are abuzz with endless cafes and restaurants. Diverting from the main drag of coffee lined laneways, the Café Culture walk takes you on a tour of Melbourne’s hidden food and cafe scene. Delegates will be introduced to many unique businesses who are passionate about tea, coffee and food. This is an opportunity to discover places that would never have been found and get a real taste of Melbourne’s unique flavour.
Melbourne’s arcades and laneways hide many of our treasures, and the Lanes and Arcades walking tour is the ideal way to discover and learn about the enchantment of Melbourne. On the tour of Melbourne’s signature lanes and arcades, delegates will meet local designers and specialty retailers that often are only found in the city. The tour takes in some of the quirkiest cafes, independent designers, street art, architecture and historical tales of Melbourne along the way.
The Golden Mile Heritage Walk is a ‘must do’ activity in the city for history buffs and is also a wonderful way for visitors to orientate themselves around the important historical points of the city. The tour provides delegates with an opportunity to share in the guides’ great knowledge and particular secrets as the trail marches along Collins Street including a sneak peek inside the elegant Gothic interiors of the ANZ bank, the plush European-style hotels and into the austere but commanding inner recesses of Melbourne Town Hall, or the Athenaeum Theatre.
