{"id":1879,"date":"2025-12-22T12:04:38","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T01:04:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.csiro.au\/ismums2026\/?page_id=1879"},"modified":"2026-02-03T13:23:34","modified_gmt":"2026-02-03T02:23:34","slug":"student-travel-bursaries","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.csiro.au\/ismums2026\/student-travel-bursaries\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Travel Bursaries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Specific funding is available to provide students (undergraduate, honours, masters and PhD) the opportunity to travel and attend the ISMUMS2026 conference in Perth Australia, from the Monday 29 June 2026 to Friday 03 July 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br>\n<\/span><strong>Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Currently enrolled at a higher education institution studying mafic-ultramafic minerals systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">submitted an abstract to the conference<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A portion of the bursaries will be dedicated to students from low income countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Value and use of the grant:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The anticipated value of each grant will be <\/span><b>a maximum value of<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> AUD$3,500 and is intended to cover <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">flights<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to Perth, Australia, and as well as <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">registration<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to the ISMUMS conference.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Application process:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will need to provide:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your current student enrolment, including the university, topic of research (if applicable), the expected end date and supervisors names.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Estimated costs for return airfares from your place of study to Perth,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A maximum 200-word statement of anticipated benefits of attending this event.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The title of your abstract (which should be submitted through the abstract portal)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications should be submitted (only once) through the following <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/mxRBKQFXZw7LpBfU6\">google form<\/a><\/span> (https:\/\/forms.gle\/mxRBKQFXZw7LpBfU6) before <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Monday 9th of February<\/strong><\/span> to be considered<\/p>\n<p>If you are unable to access the google form, please email the application to <a href=\"mailto:Margaux.LeVaillant@csiro.au\">Margaux.LeVaillant@csiro.au<\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Successful Applicants:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The students who are awarded a student bursary must agree to use the funding for travel to present their research at the ISMUMS2026 conference.
