Dr Elise Stephenson<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u202fis an award-winning researcher and entrepreneur, and the Deputy Director of the <\/span><\/span>Global Institute for Women\u2019s Leadership<\/span><\/span><\/a>, Australian National University, founded and chaired by former prime minister Julia Gillard. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As a scholar-entrepreneur, Elise conducts major research projects on gender equality and diversity in a variety of <\/span>cutting-edge<\/span> policy frontiers, including world-leading research for the United Nations on the space sector and government on topics spanning climate change to AI. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In her entrepreneurial world, she leads major entrepreneurship incubator\/accelerator programs Australia and Southeast Asia. She has a \u2018boots on the ground\u2019 approach to bringing evidence on equality and inclusion to <\/span>what\u2019s<\/span> done in practice.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
