A summary of the Alliance has been published in Meharg, S., 2023. <em>Catalysing Change Agents: Enabling Impact Through Research for Development<\/em>. Springer Nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This DFAT\u2013CSIRO partnership provided an opportunity to introduce approaches to international aid delivery that better respond to the relationship between poverty and the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Countries in the Asia and Pacific regions face daunting environmental pressures that threaten economic growth and poverty reduction.&nbsp; Foremost of these challenges are managing the adverse impacts of development, escalating demand for natural resources, and climate change.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The DFAT\u2013CSIRO Research for Development Alliance was in operation between 2007 and 2016 and has now been completed.
