Dr Geoff Lee is a Senior Research Consultant in CSIRO’s Data61 leading a multi-disciplinary team developing the latest methodologies and technologies in applied mathematics and statistics, actuarial science, econometrics and optimisation. His scientific and technical interests lie in exploring how quantitative risk modelling can be combined with domain knowledge to aid decision-makers to take actions that both reduce risk and add value to organisations and society. He is currently leading projects assessing climate risks on critical infrastructure both in Australia and overseas, and has previously explored dynamic asset allocation and decision making in the agricultural sector under uncertain future conditions, such as commodity prices or rainfall.
