Avoiding fraud
Avoid fraudulent companies such as Global Travel Team, Global Travel Experts or Converia Travel.
Please take extra care when registering for the AMR 2026 Summit and/or booking accommodation. Several unauthorised third-party companies falsely claim to offer registration or hotel services on behalf of the event. These organisations may use logos or branding to appear legitimate, but engaging with them may result in financial loss, invalid bookings, or compromised personal data.
Known fraudulent companies include*:
- Global Travel Team
- Global Travel Experts
- Converia Travel
*these are the known fraudulent companies, however there may be others that we are not currently aware of.
You may also be targeted via email – particularly if you are listed as a speaker or presenter.
Official AMR 2026 Contacts
Registration
The event is co-hosted by CSIRO and the Fleming Initiative. CSIRO have engaged Evise to manage registrations.
To ensure your registration is secure, only engage with the AMR 2026 Summit via:
hello(at)evise.com.au
Evise team members with emails ending in (at)evise.com.au
Ensure you hover your mouse over the email address to double-check the sender as scammers can mimic email addresses.
Evise utilises Entegy Events software as a service platform and all registration form hyperlinks contain au.registration.entegy.events.
Accommodation
AMR 2026 does not partner with any external travel or accommodation booking agencies. Bookings should be made directly with a reputable provider of your choosing, and correspondence will be received accordingly.
If you are contacted by any company offering hotel bookings for AMR 2026, please assume it is unauthorised.
Fraudulent travel agencies often offer “discounted” rooms, take payment, and then disappear – leaving attendees without valid reservations and forced to find last-minute accommodation at their own expense.
What to do if you are contacted by a suspected scammer
Do not respond — Any reply confirms your email is active and may lead to further targeting.
Do not provide payment or personal information.
How to protect your registration
Only register through the official AMR 2026 registration links.
Do not share any login credentials or passwords with any third party, including agencies claiming to organise group bookings.
