Quantification of microplastics associated with textiles
Presentation by Associate Professor Maryam Naebe (Deakin University)
Abstract
Textiles are one of the biggest contributors of generating microplastics (35%) founds in the environment. However, there is little understanding about characteristics of these microplastics and exactly how and why they are generated. This talk briefly describes our recent progress on systematic method for sampling and identifying microplastics in textiles washing wastewater.
