Louisa Warren

Louisa Warren is a proud Torres Strait Islander woman with family connections to Badu Island in the Torres Strait. She brings over 18 years of experience in Indigenous affairs and has successfully led a range of organisational strategies that cultivate sustainable and meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Since joining CSIRO in 2018 as the Executive Manager for Indigenous Engagement, Louisa has been instrumental in leading organisational change at CSIRO. Her team plays a vital role in implementing the CSIRO’s Reconciliation Action Plan and has successfully developed and launched CSIRO’s Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property Principles.

In recognition of her impactful contributions, Louisa was honoured as Indigenous Leader of the Year 2023 by Women in Digital and recognised as a COSMOS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander STEM Leader in 2024.
