Keely Perry

Keely Perry is a PhD student at the University of Queensland studying the relationship between phytochemicals in native plants and commercial cropping techniques. Keely has a background in plant biology and biotechnology, along with animal husbandry.

Keely’s research background encompasses biodiscovery and characterisation of native plant species especially in regard to the intersection of Traditional Knowledge and Western Science. Keely is also a fifth generation cattle farmer, avid writer and a co-chair of the Young Indigenous Women’s STEM Academy.
