ON Translate 2026

June 11, 2026. Melbourne, Federation Square.

A day of connection, changed perspectives, new ideas and pathways forward.

Expect panel and keynote sessions with industry experts, collaborative and interactive workshops, leading research-backed startup pitches and opportunities to meet others in the community.

ON Translate 2026 Program is now live. Dive into the program and meet our speakers shaping this year’s event.

This year’s theme, Innovation in Action, invites us to focus on what happens beyond the idea. It’s about translation, momentum and outcomes. About the practical steps, partnerships and decisions that turn potential into real‑world impact.

ON Translate is designed to support that journey. To create space for honest conversations, share lived experiences and case studies, surface opportunities for collaboration, and help remove some of the barriers that slow progress. Most importantly, it’s about strengthening the connections that enable our deep tech community to move forward – together.

The ON Program, funded by the Department of Education and powered by CSIRO, empowers Australia’s publicly funded researchers and SMEs with the skills, networks, and pathways to transform big ideas into real-world impact.

As a cornerstone of the ON Program, ON Translate plays a vital role in fulfilling this mission, equipping innovators with support and community to drive meaningful change.

From ON Core to ON Translate

Growing a community that moves research into impact.

You might have previously joined us at ON Core. If so, welcome back!

ON Core originally launched as a single flagship event to bring our community together. But as the ON alumni network has grown, so too has the need for more regular learning opportunities and year‑round connection.

Powered by CSIRO’s ON Innovation Program, ON Translate is the heartbeat of our community. It’s where researchers, industry mentors, universities, investors, government partners and innovation programs come together to share, learn and collaborate – both in person and online.

This community exists to turn science into impact and Translate speaks directly to that shared mission, beyond any single event.

More spaces. More connection. More opportunities for researchers and founders to learn, collaborate and grow.
