On Thursday 11 June, ON Translate 2026 returns as CSIRO ON Innovation Program’s annual flagship event, bringing together founders, researchers, investors and ecosystem supporters across Australia to explore the future of research translation and deep tech innovation.

Witness research translation in action. | A conversation with Cathy Foley AO PSM, Australia’s former Chief Scientist and Dr Kate Cornick, Tech Council of Australia: What needs to change in Australia’s R&D system now Speaking from the national science priorities and policy perspective, Cathy will address Australia’s R&D system at a strategic level, including national ambition, policy direction, and where leadership and investment need to shift to strengthen long-term innovation outcomes and capability building. Representing the industry perspective, Kate will challenge what industry actually needs to see change, bringing a practical lens on urgency, execution and how research translation can better connect with business needs and real-world outcomes. |
