Venue – The Edge and Zinc, Fed Square
ON Translate will take place on Thursday 11 June 2026 at The Edge and Zinc within Federation Square, Melbourne.
Fed Square is an architectural icon located on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
Access and Arrival
Registration and Welcome
Your registration and welcome point is at Zinc at Fed Square, conveniently located on the Russell Street Extension and with a second entrance off Batman Ave.
From registration, the ON Translate team will direct you to The Edge, the main stage for ON Translate 2026.
We want ON Translate to be as accessible as possible for all guests. We strive to make the event and your experience inviting, safe, and accessible. Please refer to the Accessibility section below for detailed venue information.
Accessibility
ON Translate 2026 will be held at The Edge and Zinc within Federation Square.
- These buildings are all wheelchair accessible with lift access. For toilets, there are accessible toilets in The Atrium, located next to The Edge. More information can be found on the Fed Square’s accessibility page.

Getting to ON Translate
Zinc & The Edge is easily accessible by train, tram, car or foot.
Travel on foot from CBD
If travelling on foot from CBD, entry via the Atrium from Flinders Street is the most convenient access point.
Public Transport
NOTE: Fed Square is part of Melbourne’s Free Tram Zone, which includes the area from the iconic Queen Victoria Market to Victoria Harbour in Docklands, up to Spring Street and over Flinders Street Station and Fed Square.
Travel on trams within this zone is free, and you won’t need a myki, however, if your journey starts or finishes outside the boundaries of the Free Tram Zone, you must touch on your myki at the reader in the normal way to make sure you have a valid ticket.
TRAVEL BY TRAM: Exit tram at Russell Street Stop 6. Proceed by foot along Russell Street extension towards Yarra River.
Take stairs on right down to River Terrace level or use Fed Square car park lift.
Taxi/ Rideshare Drop Off
If arriving by taxi or Uber, the drop off zone is located on Russel Street Extension. Proceed to end of Russell Street extension. Take stairs on right down to River Terrace level.
Zinc’s entrance is located to the right of the staircase. Accessible lifts are located at Fed Square car park as outlined on the map. Take lift to Level 1, turn left to exit the car park and proceed up ramp to Zinc entrance.
Car and Bicycle Parking
Parking in the Melbourne CBD is easy with the Fed Square Car Park. Conveniently located on the Russell Street Extension and with a second entrance off Batman Ave, the Fed Square Car Park is safe, secure and provides quick and easy access to Fed Square, the MCG and sporting precinct, South Bank and Melbourne CBD and shopping districts. Parking can be booked in advance. Ample bicycle parking is available.

ON Translate is a full‑day event and requires onsite attendance for the duration of the event.
