David Ireland

Dr David Ireland is a researcher-turned-entrepreneur-turned-investor whose career spans the full innovation pipeline.

Holding a dual PhD from the University of Queensland, he has spent years translating national and global research into real-world impact through executive roles at CSIRO, UniQuest, ThinkPlace, and as founder and Managing Director at TGD. A serial entrepreneur, David has founded and exited multiple ventures across fintech, SaaS, renewable energy, and social impact. He now invests as Partner at Significant Ventures and serves on investment committees and boards including WWF Australia, Vantari VR, Additive Assurance, and the UniQuest Extension Fund.
