Extrusion CoP #13 – The upcoming International Symposium on Food & Feed Extrusion
In this session, our Food & Feed Extrusion CoP host – Dr Jordan Pennells from the CSIRO Food Innovation Centre – chaired a special session to share a sneak peek of the upcoming Extrusion Symposium program, highlighting how community members can get involved in the event and opening up to floor for co-creation of the Symposium.

Presenter Bio:
Jordan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Food Engineering at CSIRO, where he leads the development of the Intelligent Extrusion Platform: a digital hub designed to support knowledge sharing, predictive modelling, and real-time decision-making in food extrusion. He also coordinates CSIRO’s Food & Feed Extrusion Community of Practice and co-leads the CSIRO Food Program’s AI team, advancing the use of artificial intelligence in food manufacturing. Jordan holds dual degrees in Science and Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland, where he completed a PhD on the production of sustainable cellulose nanofibre materials from sorghum biomass.
