Extrusion CoP #6 – Estimating In-Screw Viscosity in Extrusion

We kicked off 2024 with a return presentation from Dennis Forte, this time delving deeper into rheology with a focus on “Estimating the In-Screw Viscosity in Extrusion.” The session explored methods to understand and estimate material viscosity within the extruder — a critical factor in process optimisation and texture development. The session featured a presentation followed by an engaging group discussion.
